Affiliate Disclosure

Disclosing Affiliate Relationships

The purpose of this page is to disclose the fact that AshAnders.com may be compensated if you click through one of the links on this website and purchase a product or service from the vendors the link takes you to. This occurs at absolutely no extra cost to you. In many cases, by being an affiliate, AshAnders.com is able to negotiate a better price for the product or service for you than if you had simply visited the vendor yourself and not via the affiliate link.

Earning Commissions

We earn commissions through some of the products and services we review and recommend on this site. This only occurs when you click to a product vendor via an affiliate link, and end up purchasing the product, service or subscription.

More information on affiliate marketing is available at the FTC. An affiliate link is a special type of link that take you from our website to the vendor’s website. You can learn more about affiliate links on webopedia.

You should assume that any links leading you to products or services are affiliate links that we will receive compensation from. AshAnders.com only promotes those products or services that we have investigated and truly feel deliver value to you.

Why we use affiliate links

AshAnders.com is both a passionate pursuit for the website owner and also a business. Just like any other online website and business, the owner devotes considerable time to researching and writing articles, following the industry, purchasing products and subscribing for services.

As a business, the owner needs to generate income to cover costs, purchase the software products and subscriptions to both test and operate the site, and pay for certain things needed to operate the business of being an author and a website owner, such as:  hosting,  contributors and writers, graphic designers, editors, advertising, marketing, email software, writing research tools, market research tools, and more. Most of these require a monthly or yearly renewal.

Hence, the author generates income in two ways – providing ebooks and print books for sale on Amazon.com and other platforms, and via affiliate links from this site.

However, rest assured that the products the owner recommends they truly believe in. If there is a product that performs poorly, this will be clearly stated in the review, and there will not be an affiliate link to it, as that would not be honest behaviour. The website owner doesn’t want you to buy inferior products just to earn a commission.

Does the affiliate relationship impact reviews and recommendations?

It does not. The website owner recommends the products which are best for purpose, irrespective of how big or small, if at all, the website owner will get a commission. The website owner believes in simply recommending the best product or service for the desired outcome, irrespective of commission.

Please note that, unless otherwise stated, the website owner has not been given any free products, services, or anything else by the companies, products and services reviewed, recommended or mentioned on this site. The only consideration is in the form of affiliate commissions and any advertising that is shown. If any product or service is given free for an honest review, this will be clearly stated.

Affiliate Networks Used

There are a large number of available affiliate networks that websites use. A particular product may be listed on one affiliate network, or on many. The website owner may use a number of affiliate networks, such as Commission Junction, HealthLine and Clickbank. This is not exhaustive, and the use of networks depends on which affiliate network the product vendor decided to partner with.

Amazon Associates Program

AshAnders.com is also a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. All links on this site that take you to Amazon.com and associated Amazon sites can be assumed to be affiliate links.

Other Associate Programs

AshAnders.com may also be a participant in various other affiliate and associate programs direct with a vendor (as opposed of going through an affiliate network). Examples include Bluehost, Elementor, and many others. They are too numerous to list individually. Instead you should assume that any link you click that takes you to an external third party is an affiliate link, and the website owner may receive compensation if you make a purchase or subscription, or create an account, or enter into a trial, using the link.

Third-Party & Sponsor Ads

Text and image ads that appear on the site, such as in the right sidebar column and at the top, middle, throughout and bottom of the page, are third party and sponsor ads. We do not personally endorse the products and services advertised in these ads. These companies are not affiliated with AshAnders.com. These ads may either served by any ad networks we are a part of, such as Google Adwords, or they may be directly sponsored Ads that the website owner has negotiated with third parties.
